GIT has been extended the duration for three years

The plan to set up a company by Macau S.A.R Government for operating and maintaining the Light Rapid Transit system remain the same. 

The Transportation Infrastructure Office (GIT) has been extended the duration for three years is due to the preparatory work and administrative procedure had been much more complicated than first anticipated.  In these three years, GIT will be responsible for preparing the organization of the company in order to ensure the seamless handover to the new company, and, to manage properly the construction work of the Taipa Line.
